CASE STUDY
Here’s a case study that highlights how a simple idea can grow into something that becomes an intrinsic part of an organisation.
OVERVIEW:
Force Technology is a major supplier of mobile phone accessories. They’re a dynamic, national, growing organisation in a very competitive field. They’re also a company who value their staff and team participation.
OBJECTIVE:
To instigate an annual event that would make all the staff, in all the states, feel like they were all part of the same team.
SOLUTION:
Over the past 13 years, Sound Images Australia have produced the annual Force Christmas Show, which has become an institution for both the staff and company.
The staff and management at Force have a lot of fun coming up with the skits involving the staff from each state and department and they even do their own filming using simple handycams, mobile phones and a lot of enthusiasm.
We usually get all the material around two weeks before the final program will be shown, and edit everything together to make it work.
The brief is always the same…’make it funny’ and we always deliver on the brief.
RESULTS:
The response from the staff is always amazing, and each show becomes a milestone in the company’s history. Yes, the quality of the all footage may be questionable – you won’t see any 4k here or sophisticated camera moves with full set lighting, and there’s a distinct lack special effects and graphics, but these shows are all about content – not chemistry.
The simple idea of a staff Christmas show has grown to become integral in giving new employees an induction into the culture of Force and instills the idea of a fun and inclusive work environment – something which sets them apart from any competitor.
